I feel like shit cause I was sick all yesterday and today I worked and didn’t feel any better. I had like all this ginger ale and a guy from where work I gave me peppercorn to swallow (which actually helped a bit), and ’nuff water. I dunno but before I posted about how Wayne was getting some charges from Arizona and he could potentially face more jailtime.

Well, on June 30th, an Arizona court sentenced Tunechi to three years of probation which means he will not face any more time behind bars once he gets out on November 4, 2010. The thing is, people are worried this could mean that for up to 3 years Wayne will not be able to smoke weed or drink syrup or leave the country. I don’t know if that’s true but this is only an Arizona probation so I’m thinking maybe that only really applies for when he’s in Arizona… or maybe not.. I’ll let you all know whenever I know.

Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was spared time in an Arizona jail under a plea deal stemming from his January 2008 arrest at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint in the state.

Under the deal, the 27-year-old Grammy winner pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a dangerous drug. Three other drug and weapons charges were dismissed.

Wayne appeared in court via a video hookup from New York, where he has been jailed since March after pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon.

James Tilson, Carter’s Arizona attorney, said he was pleased with the court’s action.

“We’re quite glad that we were able to wrap everything up,” Tilson told Reuters. “It’s a favorable plea agreement that will allow Mr. Carter to pursue his career.”

Carter will begin his Arizona probation following his New York sentence, Tilson said.

The rapper’s tour bus, carrying 11 others, was stopped and searched by Border Patrol authorities after they said they were alerted by a drug-sniffing dog. Agents found nearly four ounces of marijuana, an ounce of cocaine, 41 grams of Ecstasy and a .40-caliber pistol registered to Carter.

Rapper Lil Wayne may not have to spend any time behind bars in Arizona on drug and weapon charges once he gets out of jail in New York, after entering a plea agreement with prosecutors in Yuma County Superior Court Friday morning.

During a short change of plea hearing, in which he appeared via video feed from a New York jail, Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a dangerous drug. The charge stems from a Jan. 22, 2008, incident in which the rapper’s tour bus was stopped at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint near Dateland, 78 miles east of Yuma, where authorities said they found cocaine, Ecstasy and a handgun on his tour bus.

A search of the bus by Drug Enforcement Administration agents yielded nearly four ounces of marijuana, just over an ounce of cocaine, 41 grams of Ecstasy and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia. DEA agents then arrested Carter.

Officials also found a .40-caliber pistol registered to Carter, who has a concealed weapons permit in Florida.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper is currently serving an eight-month jail term in New York after pleading guilty last October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon. He admitted to having a loaded .40-caliber semiautomatic gun on his tour bus. He began serving his sentence in March.

Carter, who has been one of music’s most profitable figures in recent years, could receive 36 months of probation for the Yuma charge, which is scheduled to begin once his New York sentence is over, according to the terms of the plea agreement.

In exchange for Carter’s guilty plea, charges of possession of a narcotic drug for sale, misconduct involving weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia against him were dismissed.

Superior Court Judge Mark Wayne Reeves, who is presiding over the case, will sentence Carter at 8:15 a.m. on June 30. – YumaSun

They booked Wayne for having an MP3 player which was cleverly hidden in his jail cell. How did they know? Someone snitched… SO STUPID…. I don’t know what this will cause, a lengthening of sentence, or a simple fine. I am hoping they just fine him… I mean come on! Here is the story:

“Jailed rapper Lil Wayne has to face the music again – without his music.

The rap mega-star was busted yesterday for “music contraband” – a charger and ear phones for a watch that doubled as a digital music player.

“He was found with a charger for an MP3 player and unauthorized earphones,” in his Rikers Island cell, a source said.

Authorities seized the music pieces at 8AM after a prison rat tipped off officers, who found the music contraband in foil and a bag stuffed in Lil Wayne’s trash.

A subsequent search found another inmate in the same wing with the accompanying music player, sources said.

Ironically, before Wayne went behind bars, the rapper told Rolling Stone that he planned to keep working while in prison: “I’ll have an iPod, and I’ll make sure they keep sending me beats.” –NYDaily“

Also being recorded is an UNRELEASED TRACK called “My Generation” which will appear on the Distant Relatives collab album with Nas and Damien Marley featuring Lil Wayne.

The album is said to be dropped in May or June of this year. So keep your eyes peeled!

Here is a breakdown according to People of what Weezy will be up to in the next year (or maybe 8 months):

• The Day Room
In this common area, which he shares with 19 other inmates, Lil Wayne can watch television, play cards, read the paper or just socialize. Since the day room is within the housing area, he does not have an escort here.

• The Meals
Breakfast is served at 4:30 a.m. Since a number of inmates will be going to court on any given day, the morning starts early for Riker’s residents. Lunch is served at 11, dinner at 4:30 p.m.

• The Clothes
Lil Wayne will wear the standard institutional clothing: Green work shirt and pants, slip-on style sneakers.

• The Cell
His six-by-ten space features a steel cot connected to the wall, a mattress, a sheet, a blanket and a pillow. There’s a sink and toilet in the cell as well, plus his personal property which includes the standard cup, razor, toothbrush and soap assigned to each inmate.

• Outside the Housing Area
With his escort, Lil Wayne can leave the housing area for attorney visits, regular visits (he’ll get two per week with up to three visitors), religious services or jail-offered programs such as one that helps inmates transition back into society. While some inmates have work assignments in and around the jail, he will not because, “then you’d have to send somebody off to escort him every day,” says the official.

• Recreation
One hour per day. The rapper’s facility features outdoor basketball courts.

• The Commissary
He can buy snacks and toiletries from his Commissary account, which friends and family can contribute to online. Reports that he’ll have an ipod are untrue, though he can purchase a battery-operated AM/FM radio and earphones to listen to music.

So that’s some information on what jail has been like so far for Wayne. Although Wayne is not yet in his regular routine for his time at Rikers because he is still busy with tests, paperwork and much more.

He is being DNA tested as well, since he is serving time for a gun which had his DNA on it.

I always wonder to myself, “What is Weezy doing right now? What the hell is he going through? What is happening?”

A friend of mine is worried because he is afraid there will be one inmate who might want to be THAT guy. Someone who wants to be known for killing Lil Wayne. It something we have to worry about, even though Wayne has an escort wherever he goes in prison.

“So far the prisoners love him. He’s a celebrated star and they dig his image, his work ethic, his music. There’s a lotta hype surrounding the fact the he’s not in protective custody (PC), but in general population. But it’s not really a big thing. In prison, they treat all inmates like the next. He does have limited protection, meaning there is someone that stays with him at all times. But because of who he is, this is also the norm. There hasn’t been much activity with Wayne, especially since he’s busy undergoing the processing an inmate goes through immediately upon his incarceration. Paperwork, tests, all that. Tomorrow, they’ll be conducting DNA testing, specifically because his case centers

around DNA evidence. The only thing out of the norm is the amount of calls the prison has been receiving from Wayne’s people, hounding them with questions about whether he’ll be forced to cut his hair, and a few weeks ago, what would the situation be with him having all them carats in his mouth (I think that’s why they opted to have that emergency dental procedure). Still, like I said before, in Rikers, they’re not concerned with one’s celebrity status.
A couple of guards have been written up, only because they’ve acted like fans, having more personal interaction with Wayne than is procedure, prolly acting all star struck, which, once again, the system does it’s best to discourage. Me getting this info and writing about it here puts my contact at risk of losing her job. Still, we do this for our culture. For the most part though, Wayne has been pretty quiet, staying mostly inside his jail cell. There doesn’t seem to be anyone, any faction trying to get at him in any harmful way, because he’s new and because he hasn’t violated any of the codes customary to inmate living the prison life. As I was told, it’s too early to determine how the rest of his experience will be, but so far, so good. It’s all in Lil Wayne’s hands.” –
