Time for a TOT:

I’m sure all of you remember seeing that documentary about McDonald’s called “Super Size Me” where Morgan Spurlock vowed to eat McDonald’s for every meal, every day for 30 days straight. His health was recorded before the binge started, and was recorded after the 30 days had elapsed. This study showed the damage that eating McDonald’s had on the human body.

But what about doing the same type of experiment for another ‘dangerous’ substance… like marijuana?

Well there is a documentary about just that! This should help clear up some confusion about the effects marijuana has on humans!

See This Film?: Yes.

The new 15 minute Jay – Z documentary called “NY-Z” has been released today. I will post the full documentary below!
I don’t consider this a review because it is simply a look into him preparing for his concert and some insight on his past, work ethic and maturity. It is also too short to be considered a film. I enjoyed watching this and i believe you could learn a thing or two about hip hop by watching this. Its safe to say  Jay – Z has reached legendary status and has proved himself in the music world many times over, and as to date is still producing new tracks. Enjoy.

Time for a Toke and a TOT:

Since I posted up some of the deleted scenes from The Carter Documentary, I was reminded of the time in the film where Weezy is asked what he would do if he was elected president. Here is the video clip, as well as the quote:

“I would put cocaine back in Coca-Cola, I would put that back,” Weezy said in a clip from the documentary. “[laughs] I think I’d get love for that. I’d take off all bad substances from sports, so there would be no more steroids [restrictions]. So you could use whatever steroid or hormone to grow you want, as long as you hitting homeruns, it’s fine with me. I would make prostitution legal in about five more states, gambling too. And you know I would legalize weed, first and second and I would put a law to it that there’s no more child support and there’s no more, what they call that stuff when you get married, the little pre-nup, you ain’t got to sign that because she don’t get nothing. Because marriage, that don’t mean nothing because she lay with you for a lot of years she gotta get something? I been laying with a lot of b*tches too these whole times. So, I’d change that…” (The Carter)

Time for a Toke and a TOT:

Yup, remember Lil Wayne’s “The Carter Documentary” that was released earlier in 2009? Well there are a few scenes that were deleted off the film that are only being released now!

And we have them!

Check them out below:

The First Deleted Scene:

The Second Deleted Scene:

Lil Wayne right after recording “Can’t Believe It” featuring T-Pain in a New York City studio, around the corner from Times Square.

Below is quoted from the Writer/Director of The Carter Documentary, Adam Bhala Lough.

I was probably one of the first people in the universe to hear this song. The same night he sang the elusive “Flower Song” (which is now called “Damn Damn”) prominently featured in The Carter. I was reluctant about following him into the vocal booth but he was very welcoming and I set up 2 cameras, one on a tripod and one hand-held. He was really in great spirits that night and turned to me at one point and thanked me for shooting this moment in time. The Carter 3 was released at midnight. Members of his entourage walked over to Virgin Megastore and bought a dozen copies and gave him his first copy. He looked through the tracklisting and didn’t recognize some of the names. Then he turned to the camera and told a long, complicated but hilarious story of how he believes Magic Johnson doesn’t really have AIDS and it’s a grand conspiracy created by the US Government in order to publicize the disease to the general public using a celebrity as a springboard. Then he told us the story of how he tried to buy a Starbucks franchise a few years back while he was taking classes at the University of Houston. Apparently he said he had more than enough money but failed the rigorous ‘background screening’ test that the Starbucks company demands of all franchise owners. He went back into the vocal booth and recorded what sounded like a Country song. He sang “I’m the white cup drinker, baby I’m a rapper turned trapper turned singer.” His New Orleans accent was so thick I could hardly understand some of the words croaking out of his mouth. I felt like a Lil Wayne Country album would have been an interesting career move but it never manifested. Same with the “Artist Formerly Known as Tunechi” solo R&B album that he was recording all during the filming of The Carter. But that’s another story…

This was the night that I realized I wasn’t just making a documentary about a rapper, I was filming a great American icon – before anyone knew so – and I was extremely lucky to be in his presence.
