Time for a Toke and a TOT:
Well it’s a pretty shitty day. It shouldn’t be because I mean its the first of March which means only 28 days till my birthday. But its shitty because Wayne is going to jail tomorrow for 1 year after his 3 week extension due to dental surgery. I know Wayne records music all day every day, and I know that he will be releasing tons of tracks while he’s sitting for a little while. I just like to see the videos of him being his usual self on the set of a music video or at his home on Lil Twist’s UStream. Call me obsessed or whatever you want, but he really is like the coolest person… If you disagree then I advise you watch The Carter Documentary, The Nino Brown Story Part 1 & 2, or any YouTube interview of him. I am so tired of people saying he is an idiot and just a dumb ass rapper and all that. I once had someone saying to me all day “oh he’s shitty, he’s stupid, he’s this, he’s that…” and I told him just listen to a song of his, read some lyrics off the internet while you hear the song and take in the genius of his rapping abilities. Then watch an interview with him and you will notice he is not only good at rapping, but he is a regular, educated, intelligent human being. I challenge anyone who disagrees with me to follow the instructions I just gave and you will at the very least have a second thought about it the next time you go to talk shit about him. The only reason you wouldn’t think that Lil Wayne isn’t a genius is because you don’t understand the metaphors and play on words and all the other lyrical elements he uses in his verses. It is really not that difficult to understand. He uses metaphors and similes and sometimes they are relating back to a slang term or something that you might not know about if it isn’t used in your area. If you take my advice and read the lyrics while you listen to a song of his, you will be able to pause it and try to understand it rather than ignorantly stating he sucks without even taking the time to listen to him properly.
I would also like to remind everyone that Lil Wayne existed LONG before The Carter III came out. So I recommend that before you go talking shit about him being mainstream and all that, you must recognize the fact that he was unknown and underground rapping for years and years, putting out albums and doing small shows. It took quite a while for Lil Wayne to get recognized and I happened to be one of the few people who followed him way back basically since his beginning. If you have heard any of Lil Wayne’s recent music, and did not like it or even feel strongly enough to hate on him for it, perhaps you should listen to the shit he came out with years ago when he was still in his teens and early 20’s.
You may be surprised enough to have a change of heart.
Anyways, that has been bothering me a bit, and this is only the tip of the ice burg on this topic. I can guarantee you will see several more rants on haters and such because it gets on my nerves and here is where I will complain as it takes part during my day.
Just a TOT
