See this Film?: Yes sir.

British director Paul Grengrass + American actor Matt Damon = “The Bourne Supremacy”, “The Bourne Ultimatum” and now “Green Zone”, so we know what to expect here – and we’re not disappointed. From the opening seconds, we’re into the action with the trademark Greengrass ‘in the action’ frenetic camera-work and sharp editing. The film seems to base itself off of true facts of the iraq war, such as the search of weapons of mass destruction being the cause of the war, while adding a own personal feel to it also, it is very unique and very mature. If you ever have had any answers about why we are at war…what are government was doing…this will address that issue in an exciting way.

The script could of easily been written by a journalist who has documented the actions of the war in Iraq to this very day. It is smart, it keeps you wondering and it is filled with action.

If the tension isn’t as excruciating as the other Iraq movie “The Hurt Locker”, at least “Green Zone” has a narrative and poses some questions, hard questions that many American viewers would probably were rather not aired: what was the source of the ‘intelligence’ that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction? why was the source so readily believed when the evidence was so thin? could the bloody insurgency which followed the relatively easy initial occupation have been avoided if the Americans had been willing to work with elements of the Iraqi army? This film addresses all those questions while still keeping it a easy story to follow and understand. Even to someone who has lived under a rock and dosent even no there is a war in Iraq. This film was very entertaining and smart and i suggest you watch it.

Below i will post the awesome trailer.

Hot Tub Time Machine Review.

See This Film?: If you want to laugh

As a narrative work, Hot Tub Time Machine falls well short of great. Technically speaking, the production quality pales in comparison to recent hits like the Hangover and most of the Vaughn or Apatow releases. I can name at least a half dozen comedies from recent years that are better movies. And yet, somehow, someway, somewhere…perhaps aided by some Russian RedBull, Poison and a hell of a lot of blow, Hot Tub Time Machine is FUNNY.

Caught the film in a 70% full theater and i howled from start to finish.

Lloyd Dobler played by Cusack is in rare form at the top of the cast. Craig Robinson and Corddry are not far behind as the group gels together in a way that makes their imperfect friendship all so believable. and awkward DeLorean played by Crispin Glover makes a triumphant return with a one-note gag that somehow never gets old. It would not surprise me to see him back in vogue as a top flight character actor once again.

While it may fall short of a comedy classic, Hot Tub Time Machine is simply a riot. If you judge the quality of a comedy on how frequently and heartily it makes you laugh, Hot Tub Time Machine is a winner.

Below i will post a clip.

See This Film?: Absolutely

Sherlock Holmes, seems pretty basic dosen’t it?…..
think again. I was absolutely blown away by this film. I knew the moment the opening scene was done i was in for a treat. I did not take my eyes off the screen for one moment during this film.

Always original director Guy Richie (Revolver, RockNRolla, Snatch) creates a Sherlock Holmes, played by Robert Downy Jr, that is smart, kick ass and funny. The story book character of Sherlock Holmes is present in this film but he is also…how do i put this….cool. Along with his partner Watson, played by Jude Law, these two are the true meaning of chemistry on screen.

I cannot begin to explain how enchanting and entertaining this film was, i was totally set back. There are things done in this film that i have never seen done before, to its style of filming certain scenes, to its use of special effects and just with its whole approach of telling its story. Its unique and NEVER boring.  I also would like to give credit to the amazing music (score) in this film. Its modern but stays true to the thought you get when you think of Sherlock Holmes.

This film is currently being released on DVD and i very much urge you to pick it up and watch it, you will not be disappointed . The film sucks you into its story and mood of the film and never lets go right untill the credits roll. I would rate this film a 10 out of 10….but i don’t belive in anything ever being perfect. But as far as creating a feature film that has every element of an amazing film in it….this one was closer then ever.

I will post the trailer below.

Sylvester Stalone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Terry Crews, Mickey Rourke, Arnold Schwarzengger and Bruce Willis. Total Badass. See This Film?: Not for the weak hearted.

Imagine waking up in an futuristic underground cavern, in a mix of soupy mud. You don’t who you are, what you’re doing there, or anything. And to make matters worse, there are mutants and high-tech forces who are anything but friendly. Finding a way out, realizing who you are and what type place this is all while trying to survive is basically what’s going on in Eden Log.

The flick has an undeniably cool atmosphere and look to it. Shot in a sort of black and white manner, with good lighting and a truly cave-like, claustrophobic feel, the movie definitely succeeds in creating a life-like, but nightmarish environment.

With unique ideas and a cool look the movie succeeds. But overall the movie just didn’t grab me. I was never really creeped out, drawn into the story, or pretty much anything. I was into the whole mutant dilemma, and I was curious about who our mysterious guy was, but it’s obvious those issues will be resolved, and when they were, they were less than mind-blowing. You may think otherwise.

Eden Log had loads going for it visually, but when it came down to what matters when you’re supposed to care for a film, it kind of just exists. Very average in anything else besides the look, but nevertheless the flick was original and I wasn’t bored for any of it. It just had so much potential, I felt kinda disappointed when it was done. Kind of a head-scratcher as well, but it’s not brain surgery.
Many times you will find ourselves wondering what is happening as there way of filming is different and original. scenes consist of the feeling of it being one big shot, the transitions between angles are flawless and it draws you into the film.

Just A T.O.F

Below are two trailers that show the sheer eeriness of this film, its truly unlike anything ive seen.
